ANDREAS ULRICH SCHMIDT

I am a creative professional with over ten years of experience in graphic design, illustration and adventure photography. My understanding of branding and visual communication equips me to provide elegant solutions in a variety of media. My expertise covers various prepress and graphics technologies and I have expansive experience in graphics production, from concept to press.

I have been obsessed with mountains and climbing my entire life. I began technical climbing at age 13 and have been exploring crags and mountains around the world ever since. I also started playing with crayons at a young age and since then have spent much of my time developing my skills as a photographer, illustrator and designer. The goal of much of my artistic exploration has been to express the alpine experience in visual terms.

After working over seven years in a fast-paced graphic-production environment, I decided it was time for a break and spent 2005 travelling around the world. It was a great adventure: climbing, shooting photos and experiencing the world's cultures and environments.

Now I am back and ready to work with some quality organizations and people to produce some great work.
